Shining a Light on Dance
This spring BalletNova Center for Dance will be holding our Spring Gala/Silent Auction and Young Choreographers Competition on March 24, 2012 from 7:00 - 10:30 pm, at the BalletNova Studios.
We are Shining a Light on Dance as we raise money for BalletNova's scholarship and financial aid program, as well as "spotlighting" future choreographers with the finalists from BalletNova's Young Choreographers Competition.
Guests will enjoy the opportunity to win fantastic items donated through our Silent Auction, and munch on hors d'oevres and sweet treats. The finalists from the Young Choreographers Competition perform live, and Gala guests are the first to find out who wins the competition!

We invite you to PARTNER WITH US as a sponsor for this exciting event. The Gala and Auction will help raise much needed funds for BalletNova's Financial Aid and Scholarship Program. Last year we awarded over $47,000 to talented and needy young dancers who could otherwise not afford tuition. Your sponsorship will ensure that financially disadvantaged children, many of whom come from immigrant and minority households, can continue to pursue their dance dreams.
This year marks the very first year of the BalletNova Young Choreographers Competition. Young dancers in Northern Virginia, ages 14-18, will have the unique opportunity of creating a new work to be adjudicated by a panel of international judges.
