Master Class and Audition with San Francisco Conservatory of Dance

Master Class: $15* (for BalletNova Registered Students); $20 for drop-in dancers
Audition Registration Fee: $30**
*Dancers taking the master class MUST sign-up. First come, first serve-space is limited. For advanced sign-up, complete and submit a registration form along with payment. (Students registered in the Thursday 7:30 pm Adult Ballet Advanced Intermediate Class - no payment required)

BalletNova partners with Body Dynamics and Nirschl Orthopaedic Center to offer a symposium on hip injuries and prevention, and proper hip warm-up and cool down for dancers. This Symposium will cover:
- Anatomy of a Dancer’s Hip - Pathways To Hip Injuries In Dancers - Medical Management Of Hip Injuries
- Movement Session: Warming-up Your Hips to Prepare for Dance (wear comfortable clothing)
- Movement Session: Restoring Hip Health after You Dance (wear comfortable clothing)
About Dr. Derek Ochiai: Dr. Ochiai is a frequent associate Master Instructor at the Orthopaedic Learning Center in Hip Arthroscopy, a member of the International Society for Hip Arthroscopy (ISHA), medical advisor to Inside Lacrosse magazine, and a principal member of The Washington Ballet Alliance of Medical Providers.
About Body Dynamics, Inc: they direct the Health and Wellness Program at The Washington Ballet; formerly directed the PT and Conditioning Program at the Kirov Academy; and are frequent contributors to the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science, the Dance USA Taskforce on Dancer’s Health, and “The Principals of Dance Medicine” education track presented by the Harkness Center for Dance Injuries.
